Jeffer’s the Spice of Life
This morning we were determined to sleep in. Jeffer barged into the bedroom at 6:49 (I know ’cause I rolled over and looked at my clock) ready to party. We turned on PBS Kids on our bedroom TV for him in hopes of getting more sleep. I woke up about 9a and saw Jacob was in bed with us, but Jeffer was nowhere in site. I immediately sprang out of bed and ran downstairs. I was a bit scared of what I might find because well Jeffer loves to pretend to cook. At the hospital this past week he made a “cake” from my BlackBerry, iPod, battery charger & a DVD case. He’ll take all kind of random ingredients but prefers getting his hands on real ones. Confirming my fears I found him sitting on the kitchen floor surrounded by empty spice jars and the kitchen smelled like a Turkish Bazaar. He had procured two bowls, the sifter, two spoons and many, many jars of spices.
The irony of the situation is that he managed to get a broom and dustpan out to try and clean it up. The dustpan was half full of spices so he’d made some progress but I guess got bored and went back to cookin’.
I’m hoping it isn’t time to break down and buy that pink kitchen set for him. Maybe I’ll look on Craigslist…
