Thanksgiving 2008 Recap

Thanksgiving 2008 started out with a calm, relaxed morning.  We spent the morning talking with the boys about the things we were thankful for.  Soon, we loaded up the BMW and headed west for Norman.

We spent lunch with Gammy, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Jordan & Grandma Rivers-Coley.  Gammy did a great job with her first turkey and had quite a spread set out for us.

Following lunch and spending the afternoon together we headed to Grandma & Papa Roby’s house for dinner.  Most of our Roby family was there and we enjoyed catching up with everyone and enjoying Grandma Roby’s great cooking.

After dinner and watching football we headed to Mimi & Poppy’s.  We basically arrived and went to bed to prepare for our celebration on Friday.  Mimi & Poppy gave us a break from turkey and had a wonderful ham and sides.  The boys loved the pickled okra and olives the most!  Grandpa & Grandma Lackey joined us for lunch.

  • Whats that? – Jeffer

Happy Thanksgiving!

PS:  Hopefully we will have some pictures to upload by Friday or Saturday.

Halloween 2008

This year we took a laid back approach to Halloween. I carved a pumpkin with the boys on Thursday night. Then Friday night we visited HallowMarine at the Oklahoma Aquarium. Jacob dressed up as an elephant and Jefferson was a monkey. We had a hard time getting good pictures, but here is the best we could get:

Mother’s Day 2008

Wow! What a weekend! Mother’s Day ’08 started Thursday with a ladies Arbonne spa night. The boys and I went to Lowe’s and enjoyed the toy store for big boys (we also bought mommy a gift).

Friday Jenny & the boys were able to spend the day with Mimi & Poppy. They visited the Tulsa Rose Garden and by all accounts had a great time.

Saturday saw Gammy, Jordan & Jenny come to town. We grilled fajitas and Jacob enjoyed the salsa a little too much.

We got up EARLY Sunday (try 5:00 AM) for the Y-Me Breast Cancer walk. Who knew a three-mile walk on a brisk spring morning could make you so tired! Our family raised almost $1,000 to ensure no woman faces breast cancer alone. We also went to church and Woodward Park Sunday afternoon

Be sure to check out all the flicks by clicking here.

We had a great weekend with family, but gosh we are tired.

Happy Mother’s Day!!!
