Whistler Wrap-Up: The Travel Gift

Being good parents Josh and I looked high and low to find gifts for Jacob and Jefferson.  I mean, what parents can go somewhere fun and not bring back a fun gift?  Whistler has lots of shops and many of them have “knick-knack” type souvenirs.  Those aren’t going to work for us.  Lucky for us Whistler is hosting the downhill events for the 2010 Winter Olympics.  The shopping village has a huge store dedicated to everything Olympic.  They have successfully branded more than you can imagine and unsuccessfully branded things you can’t imagine.  It didn’t take us long to find the perfect gifts for the boys, the furry Olympic mascots.  Here are pictures:

Jeffer’s “Sumi”:

The boy’s immediately took to them.  Jacob even took his to school the first day.

Easter Baskets

Jenny made up Easter baskets for the boys.  This was their first time to wake up to Easter baskets so the concept was foreign.  However, it didn’t take long for them to catch on.  Jacob’s favorite was a package of plastic golf balls.  Jeffer loved his new Curious George stamp set.

PS:  The plastic golf balls were from me in an effort to keep his fingers off mine.

Gammy’s Easter Baskets

Mom (Gammy) came up this morning and is spending today & tomorrow with us.  She came prepared.  The boys went running the moment she pulled up and when the door opened they went crazy as usual.  But today was different because she was carrying two Easter baskets packed with goodies.  It didn’t take long for the goodies to be ripped out, the plastic grass spread everywhere and the toys to be enjoyed.
