Jeffer turned three on the ninth.  We celebrated his birthday today with a small family party at our home.

Today we celebrated Jenny’s **nd birthday.  We attended church on Saturday night to give us plenty of time as a family.  The day started with my taking the boys to the grocery store while Jenny slept in.  After gathering our groceries, a Mickey Mouse birthday card from the boys and a birthday cake we headed home to make brunch.  The boys could barely eat their pancakes knowing a birthday cake sat in the kitchen.  After brunch we played in the backyard and then we all took great naps.  As I was waking up from my nap I heard a crash; Jacob had procured the cake and accidentally dropped it.  The cake survived but the icing was a bit mussed.

Feeling rested I started on a dinner of rib-eyes, corn on the cob, asparagus and scalloped potatoes.  Halfway through grilling I ran out of propane, but a quick trip to Lowe’s remedied the situation and dinner was served.

We served the cake on the deck and we all took corner pieces!

Saturday we hosted a group of friends and family to celebrate Jefferson’s second birthday.  The group included grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins and lots of friends, young & old.  Jefferson is very lucky to have so many wonderful people attend his party and bring him so many wonderful gifts.
