Judah has been teasing us for weeks now. He can walk, but he prefers to crawl everywhere because it is much faster. He has also avoided being caught on camera walking. After putting more breakfast on his shirt than his mouth this morning he decided to show off for the camera, just a bit.
With Judah approaching sixteen months, the “what a cute girl” comments mounting and Jacob referring to him as “Baby Dirk” we caved and cut his hair. With Jacob & Jefferson we waited until they were at least two years old to cut their hair. Tonight Josh got out the clippers and we buzzed his hair tight. He looks adorable!
He also gave the big boys their summer cuts. So, I’ve got three buzz cut boys of summer running (or crawling) around the house.
It’s been a big week for Judah. Â His first tooth popped out. Â Experienced trick or treating for the first time. Â Another tooth broke through. Â He’s now sitting up very well. Â Then another tooth appeared. Â And, um he said “da da.” Â That last one is probably the most important. Â I’m just sayin’.
Thursday afternoon we introduced Judah Evan to our home. Â He & Jenny were released from the hospital a bit earlier than we expected because they were doing great. Â We loaded Judah & Jefferson into the SUV and headed to pick up Jacob from school. Â He was super excited to see Judah out of the hospital and have mommy back home.
His nursery isn’t done yet (still lacks trim paint, a good cleaning & decorating) but he quickly took to snuggling into a bassinet in our bedroom.
Jacob & Jeffer are the best big brothers and are genuinely excited he’s here. Â We’ll see how long that last!

It is with great joy that we welcome Judah Evan to the Roby family.  Judah joined us at 11:45p on Tuesday, February 23rd.  He weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz and measured  19.5 inches long.  He & Jenny are doing great.
Jacob & Jefferson are very excited about Judah joining us. Â They didn’t get to stay at the hospital long enough to meet him, but they are endless in their anticipation.
We are so thankful for all of our family and friends for pitching in during this time. Â From throwing baby showers to helping us move and remodel the nursery to watching the boys during the delivery we are so blessed to be surrounded by wonderful people who care so much about us and our family.
We look forward to sharing Judah Evan with the world very soon.
